**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

The Porcupine Health Unit and the Timmins Native Friendship Centre are hosting a Children’s Health Fair to promote preschool health and development by educating parents and child caregivers on the services, screening tools and community supports available to their preschool aged children.

Parents, caregivers and children will learn about nutrition, speech development, vision, dental health, registration to Junior Kindergarten (JK), physical activity and much more.

Staff will be available throughout the event for photos and interviews.

The Porcupine Health Unit is located in Northeastern Ontario, serving the entire Cochrane District and Hornepayne, in the Algoma District. The main office is located in Timmins, Ontario, with branch offices in Cochrane, Hearst, Hornepayne, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Matheson, Moosonee and Smooth Rock Falls.

The Children’s Health Fair is free and runs from 10 AM to 2 PM on April 24th.
