**TEMISKAMING OPP NEWS RELEASE**


On November 24, 2018 shortly before 9:00 p.m., members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Paget Street, in the City of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.

Further investigation revealed that the driver did not have a valid drivers licence and was wanted on outstanding warrants. The male was placed under arrest.

A quantity of suspected methamphetamine pills, dilaudid, crystal meth and oxycodone were seized.

Michel CORRIVEAU, 37 years old, of Armstrong Township, Ontario is charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine – contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA),
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs – contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (x 2 counts) – Opioid (other than heroin) – contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
  • Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA,
  • Fail to comply with probation order, (x 2 counts), contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC),
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, contrary to section 88 of the CC, and
  • Driving while under suspension, (x 2 counts), contrary to section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

The accused was held for bail and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice on November 25, 2018.
