**KAPUSKASING OPP NEWS RELEASE**

Throughout the night, on September 22, 2018 and September 23, 2018, in an attempt to prevent further thefts from motor vehicles, Kapuskasing officers of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) randomly checked motor vehicle doors in the Town of Kapuskasing.

 

Approximately 300 motor vehicles were checked and 84 motor vehicles were found to be unlocked.

 

The following tips will help protect your property:

 

  • Roll up the windows and lock the doors of your vehicle
  • Remove all valuables or keep them out of sight
  • Don’t leave your keys in your vehicle
  • Don’t leave personal identification in your vehicle

 

Any person with information regarding person(s) responsible for theft incidents should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.
