TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE

MEDIA RELEASE for January 24, 2018
“Last week, officers from the Timmins Police Service patrolled local snowmobile trails in the area.
A common theme seen by officers was riders who were not in possession of snowmobile trail permits. During one patrol, eight 72-hour notices were handed out for failing to have a valid trail permit.
Snowmobilers are reminded that trail permits are required to access any Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trails and can be purchased at www.ofsc.on.ca.
Riders are also reminded that at this time, driving a snowmobile on any city street, unless it is part of the OFSC snowmobile trail system, is prohibited.
Please keep these rules and regulations in mind when hitting the trails to ensure a safe (and fun) snowmobile season for all residents.”
