ANOTHER “ALIEN” UPDATE!
WHAT MOVIES ARE OPENING IN TOWN!
DAVID GILMOUR *FINALLY* PLAYS TO SOME PEOPLE!

Justin Timberlake has joined the cast of the next Woody Allen project.
The movie also has Jim Belushi and Kate Winslet on board,
but there’s no title for the project yet.

Another “Alien” update!
Sigourney Weaver was at Comic-Con and said that
this new installment in the franchise
will be a follow up of “Aliens” (so the second film).
They’re bypassing “Alien 3” and “Alien: Resurrection”
and this shouldn’t be confused with “Alien: Covenant”
which is due out next year.

And finally, new movies in town this weekend include
“Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” with Anna Kendrick,
Aubrey Plaza and Zac Effron
and also “The Secret Life of Pets”.

Here’s a blast from the past!
“Flatliners” is getting a remake AND Kiefer Sutherland is on board!
If you don’t remember the original, it’s about four med students
who experiment with near death experiences.
Production for “Flatliners” begins this week.

This is pretty cool: 45 years later, David Gilmour returned to Pompeii.
What’s more impressive is that this is the first time
since 79 A.D. that there’s be a crowd in the amphitheatre
because that’s when the volcano erupted and wiped
out the Italian city.
Pink Floyd played there in 1971 but did so to an empty amphitheatre.
If you have a few minutes, this is a must-read.
