power toolsThe Timmins Police Service executed a Criminal Code Search warrant in June at a McLeod Street address in Timmins.

Timmins Police officers recovered roughly $5100.00 worth of fraudulently obtained power tools and approximately $3800 in building supplies and fixtures that have been installed in a residence and garage.

The search warrant was the final step in a comprehensive 6 month investigation into a fraud that occurred at a local hardware retailer.

As a result of the investigation, Terry COOL, 64, of Timmins has been charged with:

  • one count of Fraud Over $5000.00 contrary to section 380(1)(a) of the Criminal
    Code of Canada
  • one count of possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to section
    354(1) (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

COOL had been arrested by the Timmins Police Service and released from custody on
a Promise To Appear requiring him to attend Provincial Court of August 9th to answer to
the charges laid against him.
