mayor steve blackOn Monday, December 21, Mayor Steve Black will open the doors to City Hall, welcoming all College and University students to the Third Annual Holiday Coffee Connection.

The event is aimed at attracting post-secondary students to have an informal coffee break with the Mayor.

“We felt that is was an appropriate time of the year to invite Timmins’ University and College student to meet with the Mayor, have a coffee and find out what has been going on in their hometown while they have been attending classes for the past four months,” said YMCA CEO Wayne Bozzer, who leads the organizing committee.

“This is not only part of our plan to encourage youth to return to Timmins once they have graduated but an easy way to recognize that our young folks are important to the future of the community,” added Mayor Black.
