The old saying “patience is a virtue” could definitely apply to what Timmins, and most of Ontario had to deal with on Christmas Eve 2015.

About 44,000 people in the province (14,000 locally) had their power knocked out due to strong wind gusts that reached up to 70km.

It also knocked out power to most traffic lights along the Connecting Link, and last-minute shoppers had to deal with more traffic congestion throughout the day.
