M4034S-4211The housing market is sure not hitting dead ends recently.

The latest is headed off Dalton Road, where 12 new lots are being planned on a new cul-de-sac road, with plenty of room to build.

Agent Barry Martin says each lot will have at least an acre above the flood plain, adding septic systems will be in back yards while a well will go in the front.

The street itself will be paved.

Also a part of Timmins city council Monday night, a zoning amendment at the corner of Balsam South and First Avenue.  The two-storey building that once contained a mercantile use in the front on the main floor with housing in the other sections will turn into a six-unit residential building.

Both of these items had their first public hearing Monday night, and we’ll learn more about each development in the coming weeks.
