**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**


Daily COVID-19 Update for Tuesday, April 28, 2020

The Porcupine Health Unit is reporting 1 new COVID-19 case among residents in the health unit area. The current number of confirmed positive cases is now 59.

The new case is a male in his 70s from the Timmins area and was identified in the process of the investigation of the outbreak at Timmins and District Hospital. The investigation is ongoing at this time to determine potential linkages. He is currently at home in self-isolation. For more information, visit phu.fyi/coronavirus.

Yesterday, the Ontario government’s released A Framework for Reopening our Province, which outlines the criteria Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health and health experts will use to advise the government on the loosening of emergency measures, as well as guiding principles for the safe, gradual reopening of businesses, services and public spaces.
