The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation received $240 towards the purchase of items for a sensory cart for the emergency department.

 

Boston Davidson (7), Abbigail Davidson (11) and Lily Nault (2) sold lemonade for .50 cents a cup to raise funds in support of the Emergency Department initiative. These young entrepreneurs know from experience the stress involved with attending the emergency department and knew they had to help. The team’s marketing director Lily Nault, knew exactly how to attract a thirsty crowd, she explained “I stood on the curbside yelling LEMONADE” and the crowds came running. Boston added that selling lemonade was “exciting and their neighbors pitched in too.” When asked why they wanted to hold a fundraising lemonade stand, Abbigail stated “it’s important!”

 

Barb McCormick, Manager of Donor Relations, TADH Foundation shook hands with Boston, Abbigail and Lily thanking them  “ the Foundation loves seeing such young supporters giving back to their community , you have made a valuable contribution” and  “the generosity of the public is overwhelming and this is just one example of that.”
