**TIMMINS YMCA NEWS RELEASE**

Effective September 1st 2020, Helen Francis, President and CEO for the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario
will begin a shared President and CEO role with the YMCA of Timmins following Wayne Bozzer’s
retirement effective August 31st.

The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario and the YMCA of Timmins have been in discussions over the last few
years on how the YMCA can remain strong, resilient, and sustainable for Northern communities. The
retirement of the YMCA of Timmins’ current President and CEO, Wayne Bozzer, has provided an
opportunity for both YMCAs to come together to support Northern communities with a shared CEO.
“The present change in structure will give us opportunities to build capacity locally and through the
region. I am thrilled that our full Board of Directors is committed to another term to support the
transition. The Timmins YMCA is in great hands!” said Wayne Bozzer, President and CEO for the YMCA of
Timmins.

Timmins and Northeastern Ontario under one CEO, while they remain two separate Associations, will
allow us to position the YMCA as an agency that can support the North, not just with child care and day
