**PORCUPINE HEALTH UNIT NEWS RELEASE**

There have been no new positive cases in the Porcupine Health Unit (PHU) area in the last 24 hours. The current number of confirmed positive cases is now 67, two of which remain active.

Be aware that COVID-19 is still circulating across the province, Canada and internationally. People may be planning summer air travel. This week, some airlines have announced they will be returning to filling all seats on their planes. With this decision, it is even more important for travellers to take responsibility to stop the spread. Travellers are asked not to travel if they, or someone they are traveling with, have any symptoms or feel sick. In addition, all air passengers are required to participate in a health check before boarding and have a removable, non-medical mask or face covering during travel.

The safest option is to stay close to home but if you choose to travel, check travel advisories and visit websites of provincial governments, local health units or authorities for destination(s) as there may be differences between provinces and communities. Monitor yourself for symptoms when you travel and when you return. If you get symptoms, even if mild, isolate where you are and seek assessment and testing. If you must travel outside of Canada, you will need to self-isolate for 14 days upon your return to Canada.

Our COVID-19 Information line is open today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call the toll-free number, 1-800-461-1818 or the PHU office in your community. See our office listings for local contact numbers.

Stay home if you have symptoms. Stay safe.
