Smashing Pumpkins are heading out on a short headlining tour this spring.

The band plan to hit a few solo dates before joining G N’ R on their North American tour. Billy Corgan has also announced the Smashing Pumpkins are working on their “first real album” since reuniting with original members James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin.

The double album is expected later this year.
