**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged 2 local residents with break-in related offences stemming from an incident which occurred early this morning at a Third Avenue apartment building.

Timmins Police Service officers responded to the break-in while it was still in progress and located the suspects in a back alley a short distance from the original scene.
One of the subjects provided a false name to the police upon being arrested.

As a result of the incident, Kyle NAKOGEE, 32, and Cheryl SUTHERLAND, 31, both of Timmins, have been charged with:
– Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
NAKOGEE is charged with additional counts of
– Personation With Intent to Avoid Arrest contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Break-In Instruments contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Both subjects remain in police custody awaiting respective bail hearings slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against them.
