200,000$ Raised for Critical Care Area's at TADH Gala

**TIMMINS AND DISTRICT HOSPITAL NEWS RELEASE**

 The Timmins and District Hospital Foundation Spring Gala was held on Saturday May 4^th at the Senator Hotel. This is the 21^st annual event and proved to be another huge success.

The $200,000 that was raised came from a combination of ticket sales, sponsorships and live/silent auction items that were donated from a variety of merchants from across the Northeast.

Dr. Harry VoogJarv, Chief of Staff and VP of Medicine at Timmins and District Hospital explained that “These monies will fund advanced monitoring systems that will allow the improved transfer of patient information seamlessly throughout a variety of technology located in critical care areas of the Hospital.”

Dave Kohtala, Foundation board chair was thrilled with the evening, “It continues to amaze me how supportive both Timmins and the surrounding communities have been with our Hospital. A huge thanks goes out to everyone who attended and continues to sponsor this event.”
