**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

The Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigations Division has charged a South Porcupine man stemming from a break-in at a industrial warehouse in Porcupine in December of last year.

Based on evidence collected at the scene and subjected to forensic analysis, a local man allegedly linked to the break-in, was identified.

Based on the evidence, the suspect was arrested yesterday by the Timmins Police Service .
The break-in resulted in the theft of approximately $10,000 in industrial equipment and copper wire from the warehouse site on Hwy 101 in Porcupine.

The Timmins Police Service has charged Gerald MORRISSETTE, 39, of South Porcupine with:
– Breaking and Entering With Intent to Commit and Indictable Offence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Theft over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
He remains in police custody and is awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins
