General call for Volunteers  – South Porcupine Food Bank.

The South Porcupine Food Bank invites the public to get involved! The food bank has been active in the community since 1987, helping those who are less fortunate as part of their monthly food security, .The South Porcupine Food Bank humbly thanks all supporters who have and continue to contribute food items and monetary donations. But did you know there are also a number of other ways that you can get involve and support hungry neighbours in the Porcupine Region. Volunteer opportunities available for individuals range from sitting on the Board of Directors, fundraising, food sorting,  drivers or volunteering on monthly, weekly or bi-weekly basis to name a few. Vacancy – President of the Board of Directors of South Porcupine Food Bank

The South Porcupine Board Food Bank is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the vacancy of President of the Board of Directors. South Porcupine Food bank is a non-profit, charitable organization that distributes food and hygiene items to those who have difficulty purchasing enough to avoid hunger and meet their basic needs in Porcupine Region.  The successful individual acting as President will be responsible for being the first contact for public relations related to food drives and soliciting monetary donations from business and industries, including photo opportunities, and will organizes and chair board meeting, essentially leading  the board in its governance, in good faith and with honesty.
