**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with Arson stemming from a deliberately set fire at a South Porcupine apartment building early this morning.

Responding to the fire call on Golden Avenue, Timmins Police Service officers took the necessary precautions to ensure that none of the occupants of the building were in harm’s way in regards to the fire.

Timmins Fire Department and South Porcupine Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.

The suspect was identified to police and located at the scene.

Other exhibits related to the offence was located and secured as evidence by the Timmins police Service.

As a result of the incident, Trevor LYNCH, 49, of South Porcupine, has been charged with:
– Arson With Disregard for Human Life contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against him.
