**FACEBOOK CANADA NEWS RELEASE**

On Friday, October 19, during Canada’s Small Business Week, Facebook’s Connecting Canada’s Rural Communities Tour will continue with a stop in Kapuskasing Ontario, Canada.

The tour will continue Facebook’s initiative to learn how Canadians and small businesses in rural communities are using Facebook and Instagram’s tools to support, connect, and empower their communities in innovative and remarkable ways.

In Kapuskasing, we’ll host a panel highlighting local small businesses, including KAP Collision Inc, Papa Franco’s Restaurant and Eastview Chevrolet.

“Small businesses in Canada play a vital role in not only driving economic growth and creating jobs, but also building communities and bringing people closer together,” said Garrick Tiplady, managing director of Facebook Canada. “Facebook will continue to work side-by-side with businesses to help them grow and succeed locally and globally.”

KAP Collision Inc, Papa Franco’s Restaurant and Eastview Chevrolet, all located near Kapuskasing, are part of the tens of millions of local businesses that use Facebook and Instagram to get started, grow, trade, and hire. In fact, 1 in 2 small- and medium-sized Canadian businesses on Facebook say their business is stronger today because of Facebook. While nearly 1 in 3 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on Facebook built their business on the platform.
