**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**

The Timmins Police Service is extending a public invitation to the general public in regards to the presentation of new bikes to the winners involved in this year’s “Helmet’s on” public safety campaign.

The presentation to the winners in the various categories will take place at the James Used car dealership tomorrow afternoon at 3:45 p.m.

Leading up to this draw and throughout the summer, Timmins Police Service officers issued ballots to riders who were observed either wearing a properly fitted bike helmet, or properly complying and obeying bike safety regulations.

The following riders were the fortunate riders who turned in their ballots for the draw held last week and will be presented with their respective prizes:

In the Boys category, Oryan Lemieux, age 6, had his ballot chosen and is the winner of a new bike
In the Girls category, Kylee Desilets, age 8, had her ballot chosen and is the winner of a new bike
In the Adult category, Janis Salvador had her ballot chosen and is the winner of a Car Detailing from James Used

The Timmins Police Service issued over 300 ballots this summer with over 250 being turned in for the draw.

This marks the best public response to Helmet’s On since its inception.

The Timmins Police Service is thankful to its Helmet’s On Campaign community partners who help spearhead this public safety campaign focused on collision and injury reduction.
