**Timmins Fire Department News Release**

As of August 10th the Fire Ban has been lifted. Residents who hold a current
valid burning permit will be permitted to burn within the City of Timmins following the guidelines
of their permit.
The Timmins Fire Department is a composite Fire Department that operates 7 Fire Stations; 5
Volunteer Stations, 1 Composite Station and 1 Airport Station. The Fire Department is
equipped with a total of 21 pieces of apparatus, 140 Volunteers Firefighters and 34 Career
Firefighters.
