**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service responded to a break and enter in progress on Friday evening (July 27th) at a corporate building located on Cedar Street South. An intrusion alarm had been tripped and responding Timmins Police officers located a man who had briefly barricaded himself in an office within the building.

The suspect was taken into custody whereupon it is alleged he provided a false name to the officers.

Curtis SHISHEESH, 36, of Timmins has been charged with:
– Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Personation with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Break-In Instruments contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail To Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing to be held this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.

In a separate incident on Friday July 27th, a female suspect was located and arrested after allegedly having gained entry into an industrial building located on Highway 655, north of the city.

Upon arrival, responding Timmins Police officers located a person matching the suspect’s description a short distance from the building that had been broken into.

The Timmins Police officers interviewed the suspect and formed the necessary grounds to effect an arrest in relation to the break-in.

Based on the cursory search pursuant to arrest, a quantity of stolen property was located on the suspect’s person.

Destiny IAHTAIL, 23, of Timmins has been charged with:
– Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada — Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused has been released from police custody on the strength of a Recognizance requiring that she attend Provincial Court on August 7th to answer to the charges laid against her.
