There’s a new beer in town, and the Rotary Club of Timmins-Porcupine couldn’t be happier.

Full Beard Brewing and 92.1 ROCK are collaborating on “ROCKed by the Blonde,” a dry hopped blonde ale that’s said will provide a light, smooth taste for patrons.

50 cents from each can will go towards the Rotary Club.

President Andre Rochon says they’ve raised money in bars in the past, but actually selling a beer is “new for us.”

He says Full Beard owner Jonathan St. Pierre approached them with the opportunity.

“Working with Jonathan over the years is something that we always do,” he said, “He’s always our go-to person for anything when we look at projects and it seems to be something that just fit for us with him.”

The Rotary Club helps over 30 local groups and organizations raise funds for various causes and deliver much needed services in our community.

Examples include the Lord’s Kitchen, therapy dogs, food banks, leadership training for students and ski patrol.

“It helps our small group a lot,” Rochon adds.

Ryan Daly, Morning Announcer for 92.1 ROCK, explains the motivation behind this project.

“We’re committed to using our platform at the radio station to give back to the City of Timmins,” he said, “This is another unique way that we can give back to an organization who has the same amount of dedication to our
community.”

“It’s also pretty mint to work with Timmins’ first local craft brewery!”

Launch date for ROCKed by the Blonde is Friday, October 27 at 11:00am.
