In an effort to see if the city should resort to an in-house legal department, it’s been revealed that Timmins has paid over $1-million dollars in legal fees in 2015 and 2016.

It was an item in the core services review.

The city says they paid over $550-thousand last year alone, including almost $340,000 in specialized services alone.  Specialized services pertain to such things as Police Services Act hearings, Human Resources, personal injury claims and property damage.

When Mayor Steve Black asked for questions on this Monday night, nobody raised their hand.
