The Board of Trustees for the Northeastern Catholic District School Board are very pleased to announce the appointment of Tricia Stefanic Weltz to the position of Director of Education, beginning July 1, 2017.

Stefanic Weltz will be replacing outgoing Director of Education, Glenn Sheculski, who will be retiring as of June 30th.

Richard Brassard, Chair of the Board commented, “Tricia brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience that she has accumulated over many years as a Teacher, Principal, and Superintendent of Education with the NCDSB and its predecessor boards. Having served as Interim Director of Education between April 1st, 2009 and June 30, 2009, Mrs. Stefanic Weltz assisted the NCDSB in bringing the Moosonee Roman Catholic Separate School Board into the NCDSB fold.”

“Her experience in all aspects of leadership and management will serve the board well as she assumes her role of Director of Education on July 1st, 2017.

As Chair of the Board of Trustees, I firmly believe that Tricia’s management and leadership style, that of collaboration and cooperation, will help create the confidence among our partners that is paramount in moving the system forward. Her dedication to our Catholic system and her focus on student achievement truly reflect the mission of our board. With that in mind and on behalf of the Board, I congratulate Tricia on her appointment and may God bless her as she assumes the role of Director of Education and Secretary –Treasurer of The Board.”
