The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into a break-in at a campground north of the city which occurred on August 23rd.

It resulted in the theft of an ATV and a number of other items from a camper trailer situated on a seasonal lot.

The investigation has resulted in the recovery of the stolen ATV by the Timmins Police Service.

Sheldon ST-JEAN, 18, of Timmins is charged with:

  • One count of Break and Enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Theft Over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Fail to Comply With Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Pursuant to his arrest, he was searched and is alleged to have been found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine tablets.

As a result he is charged with an additional count of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.

The accused was held in police custody and has a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
