The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into a disturbance at a local Algonquin Blvd East business which occurred mid-morning of Friday July 8th.

Timmins Police officers responded to the call for service to find an agitated male person who is alleged to have damaged the store entrance and store merchandise while menacing the staff and customers.

As a result of their investigation, Tyler Lawrence ANDERSON, 23, of Timmins has been arrested and charged with:

  • One count of Assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Mischief Under $5000 contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Causing a Disturbance contrary to section 175(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Assault – With Intent to Resist Arrest contrary to section 270 (1) (b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The subject was arrested and held for a bail hearing which is slated to occur this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
