Timmins Police Official-Badge

The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service in relation to a disturbance near an Elm Street North address at approximately 8:20 p.m. Thursday evening.

During the disturbance, a male suspect is alleged to have caused damage to a parked vehicle and is further alleged to have made his way into the entrance of an Elm Street residence where he stole items by applying physical force upon the 37 year old female occupant of the residence.

Timmins Police officers responded to the scene and located the suspect after a brief foot pursuit.

He was found to be in possession of the stolen items allegedly taken from the female victim.

As a result of the investigation by the Timmins Police Service, Jeremy John NAKOGEE, 18, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • one count of Robbery With Violence contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of
    Canada
  • one count of Mischief Under $5000 contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • one count of Fail To Comply with Undertaking contrary to section 145 of the Criminal Code of Canada

NAKOGEE remains in police custody, awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at
Provincial Court in Timmins.
