Timmins Police Official-Badge

The Timmins Police Service is investigating an incident where the lobby door at Timmins Police Headquarters sustained significant damaged due to the actions of a distraught person.

At approximately 1:00 a.m. this morning, a woman entered the front foyer of the Timmins Police Services building and is alleged to have thrown a tool through the glass door of the inner lobby entrance.

This action caused the glass portion of the door to shatter.

As a result, the 23 year old Timmins woman was arrested and taken into custody.

She stands charged with:

  • one count of Mischief contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • one count of Breach of Probation contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The woman was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing scheduled for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.

The damage to the front foyer door is estimated to be around $1500.00
