Police lay assault charge

The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service regarding an altercation between a male passenger of a parked vehicle, and a female passerby.

During the course of the altercation in a parking lot of a local restaurant, the woman is alleged to have struck the male passenger as he was exiting the vehicle.

Based on the ensuing investigation undertaken by the Timmins Police Service, Danielle DIONNE, 30, of Timmins has been charged with one count of Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The charged person was arrested at the scene and was later released from police custody on a Promise to Appear requiring her to attend Provincial Court in Timmins on June 28th to answer to the charge laid against her.
