Drug seizure joint investigation editedOn January 23, 2016, the Timmins Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit, along with the Ontario Provincial Police’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit and Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) conducted a search warrant at a residence in the area of Mountjoy St. S in Timmins.

This was part of a joint investigation conducted by the Timmins Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police.

A search of the residence led to the seizure of approximately 196 grams of Cocaine, 9.8 grams of Heroin, 44 grams of Cannabis-Marihuana, 2.6 grams of Cannabis-Resin, 261 Percocet tablets, and 4 Hydromorphone tablets. Police also seized a set of brass knuckles and several thousand dollars in Canadian currency. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $28,000.

As a result of the investigation, police have charged six individuals with various drug offences. Charged are:

  • Lindsay BRENNAN, 33, of Toronto, ON (Possession for the purpose of trafficking X5, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Breach of probation)
  • Christopher KILLEEN, 35, of Timmins, ON (Possession for the purpose of trafficking X5, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000)
  • Kadeem RAMESSAR, 24, of Brampton, ON (Possession for the purpose of trafficking X5, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000)
  • Justin SKINNER-WHITHERS, 38, of Toronto, ON (Possession for the purpose of trafficking X5, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Possession of a prohibited weapon, Carrying a concealed weapon, Breach of Recognizance, Breach of Probation)
  • Hali SNOW, 36, of Toronto, ON (Possession for the purpose of trafficking X5, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000)
  • 17 year-old female of Brampton, ON (young offender) (Possession for the purpose of trafficking X5, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Breach of undertaking)

The name of the youth cannot be published pursuant to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

All accused were held in custody pending their respective bail hearings.
