Timmins_Police_Service_logo_updA Timmins woman is facing fraud charges after reports were received from a government agency by the Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section.

An investigation revealed that between December 2011 and November 2013, documents were submitted to a government-funded program, however appointments were not attended. Funds obtained fraudulently totaled approximately $7,200.

Following the investigation, charges were laid on December 22, 2015.

Paula MALLETTE, 47, of Timmins faces a charge of Fraud over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She has been released on a Promise to Appear, with a court date set for January 5, 2016.
