ETFO ratify new contract agreement with Ontario government

Eighty-six percent of the ETFO members voted in favour to ratify their new contract.

Ontario’s elementary school teachers have officially ended their work to rule campaign after being the last of the four big teachers unions to reach a new contract agreement with the provincial government.

Both union members and union locals, who had 98 percent accept the agreement, have to reach a majority in order to ratify any new contract.

The agreement was reached on November 2nd.
