Suspended officers issue top of mind following recent resignation

The resignation of a suspended Timmins Police officer this week is bringing back a touchy subject.

Mayor Steve Black says many residents don’t appreciate how complex the Police Services Act is, but welcomes the current review by the province.

Constable David Starcevic was under suspension with pay for about two years, due to the multiple charges against him that includes drunk driving and sexual assault.
