Record Store Day is Saturday (April 18th) a day we are encouraged to visit a Record Store and check out music, whether it be mucis you know, or discovering something new.

In addition to performing at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony tomorrow, Dave Grohl is also this year’s official Record Store Day ambassador. Dave’s got a busy weekend ahead.

Many Q92 artists have something coming out for Record Store Day.

Dave and the Foo Fighters are putting out ‘Songs From The Laundry Room’ It includes demos of Big Me and Alone Easy Target, and previously unreleased work

Jack White, earlier this year, bought Elvis Presley’s first ever recording. It’s 2 songs ‘My Happiness, and, That’s When Your Heartaches. Jack has recorded them to vinyl and will put it out. In addition Jack is releasing the White Stripes ‘Get Behind Me Satan’ album for the first time on vinyl, fittingly in red and white.

Metallica fans can enjoy their first demo tape from 1982. ‘No Life Till Leather’ is available on cassette only (keep telling you cassettes are making a comeback) and features tunes that predate the ‘Kill ‘Em All’ album

Sloan are out with ‘Alternates’, cleverly named as it features alternate versions of tunes from their latest album Commonwealth.

Sam Roberts is debuting 5 tunes on a vinyl EP titled ‘Counting the Days’

Robert Plant is out with a EP of live tracks from his ‘Sensational Spae Shifters’ tour, including the Led Zeppelin great ‘Whole Lotta Love’
